The holidays are a perfect time to get your little kitchen helpers into the kitchen! As a child, one of my clearest memories is helping my mom in the kitchen. I would sit on the counter and help her stir and mix whatever goodies she happened to be making. It was an integral part of my childhood, and I cherish that time spent with my mom in the kitchen. As a mother myself, I want to provide my children the same experience. My girls are always hanging out with me in the kitchen and (most of the time) I love involving them in baking and cooking with age-appropriate tasks. I’m planning some easy Christmas treats to make together this holiday season. Here’s what’s on my list:

Easy Rudolph Brownies – Your Cup of Cake
Okay, there is just something extra cute about those eyes! I’ve seen them everywhere but there’s just nothing cuter. These would make a great Christmas party treat.

Reindeer Rice Krispies  – Thirty Handmade Days 
Rice Krispies are without a doubt, a childhood staple! These are some of the cutest I’ve ever seen! My little baker helps with mixing the Rice Krispie mixture as well as putting the eyes a and nose on. She is also able to pop the stick on!

Grinch Hot Chocolate –  Cooking with Curls
After a long day of playing in the snow, there is nothing better than a big GREEN cup of hot cocoa! 

Melted Snowman Chocolate Bark – Princess Pinky Girl
Place a few of these in a clear plastic treat bag and have a perfect teacher gift, secret Santa gift or gift for a friend.

Homemade Gumdrops – Mom on Timeout
My girls love fruit gummies so they would most definitely love these pretty little things! This is one of the most beautiful and easy Christmas treats I’ve seen in a while!

Easy Christmas Peppermint Patties – Mom on Timeout
Making perfect-every-time fork marks would be a good fine motor activity for any child! 

Marshmallow Penguins – Eats Amazing
Those eyes, again! It’s as if these little penguins are alive and are going to start waddling towards you. Such an adorable, yet easy Christmas treat!

What kid doesn’t love gelatin!? Not only are these pretty, but they are easy to make too!
