Are you looking for a unique and meaningful baby shower gift for a special friend or family member?
When purchasing a baby shower gift, I usually buy something off of the mama-to-be’s registry, because I just know that there are all kinds of must-have necessities that come with a new little squish. Instead of buying a gift off of the registry and calling it a day, I love to splurge a little bit on something that is not on the registry. As a mom of two, I know exactly the kinds of gifts that are appreciated!
Give Mama a Gift She Doesn’t Even Know She Needs
Choosing gifts for the people I love is something I really enjoy. I spend a lot of time thinking about the recipient and try my hardest to find a gift that something out of the ordinary that the person will really love, but would never think to buy for themselves. I have had friends tell me that I give the best gifts, I’m sure my list of baby shower gifts will not disappoint!
Alright…Now it’s Time to Pick a Baby Shower Git!
Bandanna baby bibs. There’s nothing cuter than a baby in a bandana bib! More stylish than a traditional bib, only the coolest of babies will be making a fashion statement! I’m loving these prints for girls and these prints for boys.
Wooden hairbrush set. I love functional gifts that double as a keepsake! This sweet set of brushes would make a great gift!
Letters to My Baby book. Today’s moms are looking to document everything and this book can help with that! This sweet booklet invites new moms to write letters to their babies during the first very special years of life. How special will your grown child feel when they get to read about all of the mushy-gushy feelings you had (and probably still have!) about them!
Lamb baby mat. This oh-so-soft and cozy lamb baby mat is perfect for tummy time, playtime and snuggle time! I love the lamb but rest assured, there are 15 styles to choose from. What a sweet baby shower gift!
Giant elephant baby pillow. With big fluffy ears and a soft trunk, any baby will love to cuddle up to this plush elephant. Please tell me they make these for adults too!? (Recommended for babies 12 months and up.)
Wubba Nub. These pacifiers are ah-maze-ing! This is the only pacifier my 17-month-old would use from about 2 weeks old. There is just enough weight to them that they don’t get bumped out of baby’s mouth as frequently. They are also easier for baby to grab onto in the middle of the night when they loose their bink.
Unique baby book. There are so many milestones in a baby’s first years of life that deserve to be documented! Give mama a unique book she can cherish forever. I really like this one.
Swaddle Blankets. But not just any swaddle blanket. I’ve had my fair share of swaddle blankets and I can assure you, there is nothing like these muslin swaddle blankets. They are so versatile! Mama can use them as a swaddle blanket, nursing cover, tummy time blanket and in the car. And the prints are to die for!
Themed gift basket. I love putting together a lot of small items that go together to create a thoughtful gift basket. You could create a bath time gift basket, a baby laundry gift basket or a nap/book time basket.
Handmade gifts. Craft fairs and online shops on Etsy are great places to find one-of-a-kind gifts that are guaranteed to make mama’s heart melt. Think bibs, burp clothes, headbands, teething rings etc.
Books. I like to give a book with a little message to the baby instead of a $5 card that is going to be thrown away after the party. A few of our favorites include:
The Night You Were Born
Goodnight Moon
Where the Wild Things Are
Little Blue Truck
Chicka Chicka Boom Boom
I Love You Stinky Face
The Napping House
Someday
Fun paci clips. No mama wants to be out and about with a crying baby only to realize the binky is gone. I’ve been there and it is NOT fun. Make sure baby’s paci is always near with these stylish paci clips!
Nose Freida. What is that thing? It’s a snot sucker from outer space! But really, this is a little tool that every mom needs. All babies have snot and boogers and it is a mommy’s job to take care of them.
Burts Bees Baby Gift Set. Move over Johnson and Johnson! Burt’s Bees has a fantastic line of baby products and this gift set includes a little sampling of their most popular. I love, love, love their
nourishing baby lotion. It’s the only kind of baby lotion I use on my babies’ sweet skin. Another perfect baby shower gift.
Monthly Baby Stickers (Yay!). My set of free downloadable stickers makes it easy for any mom to document baby’s first year. All you need to do is download the files and print them off on a full sheet of sticky paper. (I use this kind.) A baby shower gift that mama will love!
