Entertaining our children year round is quite a feat, to say the least! As busy parents, we are always looking for toddler activities and crafts that will stimulate, teach and create memories. Do you ever feel like you run out of ideas? I do, and that’s why I love when a holiday rolls around or a season changes. It opens up a brand new canvas for toddler crafts and learning opportunities! Today I am going to inspire you with some of my favorite Thanksgiving crafts for toddlers on the web. I definitely plan on making with my kiddos in celebration of the upcoming holiday!
Lego Stamped Indian Corn – Crafty Morning
I’m pretty sure that if you’re the mom of a toddler, you probably have a Lego or 10 lying around. .Dab them in a little paint to create these lovely little Indian corns
Toilet Paper Roll Turkey – The Resourceful Mama
What’s not to love about this cute turkey craft? It’s so colorful and fun! I love the idea of upcycling the toilet paper rolls!
Paper Strip Turkey Craft – Housing a Forest
This turkey is just the cutest little guy, isn’t he? I like that there are lots of different textures involved in this toddler Thanksgiving craft – it makes for a great sensory exercise.
Bundled Q-Tip Autumn Tree – The Pinterested Parent
What I like about this Thanksgiving craft for toddlers is that your toddler does not have to be accurate to create a beautiful piece of artwork!
Upcycled K Cup Pilgrim Hat – Early Learning Ideas
I love that there are so many learning activities you can do with these! Work on letters, numbers and reading! If I hadn’t ditched my Keurig for my lovely Bunn coffee maker (it makes a whole pot of coffee in about three minutes!), I would have plenty empty K-cups to make into little hats! I’m happy to see that there is a use for these used coffee pods that are pretty bad for the environment!
Oreo Acorns – Frugal Coupon Living
These would be a perfect sweet treat for a Thanksgiving party or get together! I know my toddler would enjoy sticking the pretzel into the top of the “acorn” and putting the chocolate sprinkles on! And, eating them of course:)
Roll a Turkey Children’s Game – Inspiration Made Simple
What could be better than a game that is easy to play, helps younger kids develop their math and motor skills, and is Thanksgiving related? This is a printable game where you roll a die and build a turkey depending on what you roll.
Turkey Napkin Rings – The OT Toolbox
Toilet paper rolls to the rescue again! A few pipe cleaners, some empty toilet paper rolls and a little bit of creativity will get you these pretty cute and functional napkin rings! I know my toddler would love to put the pipe cleaners into the holes. Yet another super cute Thanksgiving craft for toddlers!
Thanksgiving Cootie Catcher – Bren Did
This is a great way to teach your children about thankfulness and gratitude! Who doesn’t love a good ol’ cootie catcher? This Thanksgiving craft is more appropriate for a three and four-year-old, but you could use the same concept with younger children.
Thanksgiving Bingo – Crazy Little Projects
My 4-year-old is always up for a game! She is actually really getting to them so she would love this! It’s not really a craft, but I think that since you are spending quality time with your toddler when playing this game, it was fair to add to the list. And, who doesn’t love Rolos?
Soft Maple Sugar Cookies – The Novice Chef
One of my favorite past times as a child was baking with my mom, so it’s only necessary to have some sort of yummy cookie on the list. What better way to get into the Thanksgiving spirit than with sugar cookies your toddler can decorate.
Aren’t these the cutest and fun Thanksgiving crafts for toddlers? I hope this post inspired you to find some new ways to connect with your toddler around Thanksgiving – I know it inspired me! What crafts are you doing with your litte ones this fall? Share them in the comments! I’m always looking for new ideas:)
These are all such cute ideas! I also love the lego stamping craft. My 5 year old would love that too!
The lego stamping craft is genius! It was my favorite as well! 🙂
Oh my gosh, I NEED to try those maple cookies! And my kids would absolutely love that lego stamping craft. Great ideas!
They lego stamping craft is my favorite, too! I knew there was something better to do with them than step on them in the middle of the night!
