Warmer weather is here! (At least it is in Michigan.) Every year at this time, I am always so anxious to get outside with my kids; it’s like we get to enjoy a whole new world! There’s no better way to burn off some energy than to get outside, run around and enjoy some fresh air. Because small children change and grow so much year after year, each new season brings the need for more age appropriate outdoor toys for toddlers. For example, the little Radio Flyer tricycle my 2-year-old daughter played with last spring isn’t that much fun for her this spring. As parents, we are always looking for a way to challenge our littles, aren’t we? So we need new toys. All. The. Time.

I’m so excited to share some really fun outdoor toys for toddlers with you! To be honest, we don’t have all of these toys, but with a one and three-year-old running around, I am confident these toys would please toddlers of all ages. So here goes! My top ten favorite outdoor toys for toddlers of all ages!

Outdoor Toys for Toddlers 4-in-1-Tricycle

4 in 1 Radio Flyer Toddler Tricycle

We LOVE LOVE LOVE this toddler tricycle! my 14 month old just can’t get enough! She feels like a big girl being pushed around with her sister, and it will grow with her as she learns how to steer and pedal a bike. This 4-in-1 tricycle is a great bike for ages 9 months – 4 years, as you can change the way it is used! You will definitely get your money’s worth with this one.

Covered Sandbox with Bench Seats

We love this sandbox! It is big enough for my one and three year old to play together and with friends. It is easy enough for my three year old to open and close, and strong enough for her to stand on top of without worrying about breaking. It only took my husband about 30 minutes to assemble, so that is a bonus too!

Outdoor Toys for Toddlers bubble-blowerBubble-N-Go Toy Leaf Blower

What toddler doesn’t love bubbles! We’ve had basic bubble blowers in the past but this one is fun because your child in control of the bubbles, and we all know toddlers love being in control! They can run around with the blower and the bubbles just keep coming and following her where ever they run! Now if I could just keep her from blowing bubbles into her sister’s face…

Radio Flyer All-Terrain Wagon

wagon

We love this wagon because not only does it have seat backs, but it also has a storage area, and came with a little clip on umbrella for shade! This wagon rolls nice and is perfect for a stroll around the neighborhood or farmers market. My three-year-old is also able to pull her sister around in this wagon, so it’s extra fun for them!

I actually went all out and got accessories for our wagon to make being out and about a breeze! This umbrella that attaches to the wagon for shade, a storage compartment contraption. (You can see that attached to the back of our wagon.) Love!

Outdoor Toys for Toddlers sidewalk-chalkSidewalk Chalk

Chalk is a timeless outdoor toy that all toddlers love! R is working on drawing lines, circles, and other shapes and there is no limit to what she can come up with chalk and an empty driveway! We love the variety of colors in this pack, they make for hours of artistic fun and learning.

Outdoor Toys for Toddlers slideLittle Tykes First Slide

I think my kiddos have each gone down this slide over 100 times in the last two days! They just love it! The slide is very stable so I am not worried about them climbing by themselves. The slide is a perfect length and the bottom of the slide makes for a smooth landing. I also love that the slide folds up, not that we ever put it away, but if we wanted to, we could easily do so!

 Power Wheels Kawasaki Quad

This is probably my three-year-old’s favorite outdoor toy! She loves to cruise around the yard and pull things behind her quad, just like daddy does. She was able to drive this quad pretty well when we gave it to her on her 2nd birthday, and at three, she’s a pro! Probably a better driver than mommy! Here he is riding on the quad at two years old.

Outdoor Toys for Toddlers -camp-chairFolding Camp Chair

This isn’t necessarily a toy, but I thought I’d include it because my 14-month-old loves having her own little chair just like the adults do! It is stable enough for her to climb on and off of, and she will do that over and over and over! It folds up nice for storage and came with a little bag to store the chair in. The material feels thick and durable, just like a chair for adults.

Outdoor Toys for Toddlers trampoline60″ Skywalker Trampoline

What a great way to burn some energy! A trampoline like this one is so fun, I wish I could jump on it! My three-year-old and all of her friends love to jump on this trampoline and have so much fun especially when we put balls in it! We actually keep our trampoline inside so that we can enjoy it year-round. It is well constructed, my only complaint is that it took my husband and uncle over an hour to assemble. But, once it is assembled, it’s well worth it and provides HOURS of exhausting (yay!) fun.

Outdoor Toys for Toddlers swingLittle Tykes High Back Toddler Swing

This swing is a great first swing for my 14-month-er; I don’t see how anyone could find any complaints! This swing has one buckle that goes around the waist, so toddlers of all ages can use the swing. Both of my girls enjoy it. The higher back is a great safety feature and the leg holes are a good size for chunkier baby legs, but not too big a child would slip out or become uncomfortable. Easy to install and such a pretty red color!
